Keep their interest at breakfast time with a range of healthy, quick foods that can be enjoyed by all the family. Peanut Butter & Banana on Toast A quick and nutritious breakfast that will keep their hunger at bay until at least breaktime.
Peanut butter and banana on toast is quick to make and full of good fats as well as fruit and if you make it on brown toast, you really are scoring high in the good parent ratings, plus kids love it too! If your child doesn’t like peanuts, then swap for any nut butter – obviously is they have a nut allergy then avoid this one altogether. Homemade Fruit Muffins Ok, so not quick when making but if you whip up a batch at the weekend, then this is a great grab and go breakfast and the kids will think its amazing having cake for breakfast! Full of dried fruit and honey to sweeten, these muffins are a healthier alternative to the shop bought type and you could make them even healthier by adding oats and swapping the white flour for a wholemeal mix.

Overnight Oats If your child loves the consistency of porridge, then this could be the best time saving breakfast ever. Mix up the simple ingredients in a jar the night before, usually oats, milk and chopped fruit, then pop in the fridge and hey presto, breakfast is served whenever your child is ready.
You can try lots of different toppings from strawberries and raspberries to dried fruit and spices.

Even better, why not teach them how to make it, the added responsibility can really help if your child is struggling to go to school on a morning. Homemade Cocoa Pops If you are constantly harassed every time you go down the cereal aisle with your child, then why not make a healthy version of coco pops for them to enjoy guilt free.
